WHAT DEFINES CRAFT — métiers d'art?

A celebration of artistry and craftsmanship. Maison&Objet's unwavering support for every exceptional expertise: cultivating, preserving and enhancing it. Craft is a living workshop where skill and style come together.
Noble materials, expert and passionate hands, exceptional objects, unique items, in small series or entirely custom-made. From lighting to tableware and furniture to collector's items, each creation is conceived as a work of art sculpted with precision.
Craft represents a sensitive, made-to-measure and eco-responsible approach to objects in the service of new, more thoughtful consumption.
An approach that values time, tools and expertise. The craftsman, at the core of useful and poetic creativity.
Made with meaning and given a meaningful role, every object is unique. Craft. The extraordinary made by hand.

THE CRAFT SECTOR, DEDICATING A SPACE TO EMBLEMATIC AWARDS

The Rising Talent Awards are evolving to shed light on fine crafts: SAFI, organiser of Maison&Objet*, and Ateliers d'Art de France have worked together to create this new category to meet the expectations of buyers and their appetite for the attractive values of the crafts: creative ability, creation of unique pieces or small series in the fine craft workshop, with a concern for quality and durability.

At each edition of MAISON&OBJET*, this new international winner of the Rising Talent Awards CRAFT will exhibit on the CRAFT TALENTS pavilion in the heart of Hall 5A, in the CRAFT sector, dedicated to fine crafts from all over the world. He will present his unique pieces on his stand alongside another awarded creator, selected by experts to distinguish a fine craft creator based in France, thanks to the competitions organised by the fine craft federation: the Ateliers d'Art de France Competition and the Young Creative Craftsworker’s Award.
