Just steps away from the much-anticipated What’s New? In Decor by Elizabeth Leriche, nestled in the Signature & Projects sector and a stone’s throw its Curatio space dedicated to Collectible Design—something remarkable is taking shape. The Village of Manufactures of Excellence is quietly unfolding. A recomposed Baroque begins to emerge.
Created as a direct response to the desire for the exceptional, especially among the 25,000 interior designers and decorators who form the Maison&Objet community, the Village presents itself as a precious setting—a jewel box of craftsmanship. Master glassmakers, artistic cabinetmakers, weavers, upholsterers, plaster artisans, decorative locksmiths, marble workers, furniture and lighting designers—all gather here to showcase their know-how. The common thread? Contemporary restraint meets unexpected twists.
These French houses, all bearing the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant – Living Heritage Company) label awarded by the French state, redefine luxury. Here, ornamentation is not ostentatious but found in the detail, in precision. The gesture shapes the material—a material rich in stories, elevated through the hands that work it.
Among those present: La Maison du Vitrail, Verrerie de Biot, Agencement Paul Champs, Tissage de la Lys – Jules Pansu, Eurocave, Dumas Paris, Bronzés de France & Baguès, Horus, Focus Création, Le Jacquard-Français… Each name represents not just a brand, but a legacy—a craft—and a story ready to shine across the worlds of hospitality and interior design.
This is not just a showcase. It’s a journey into a French wonderland of savoir-faire, where tradition meets reinvention, and where excellence is anything but silent.
