CLAY 212 masterfully transcends the utilitarian nature of pottery, imbuing each vase with the essence of a sculpture, a veritable masterpiece of artistry, brimming with a rich history and undeniable soul. Our collections were born out of a desire to find new outlets for Moroccan crafts, hit hard by COVID-19 and thus create employment for artisans pushed into unemployment. We also wanted to promote their expertise internationally. Our collections are designed by a team of young designers with different inspirations, who work alongside experienced craftsmen in every stage of the process—from initial design to production—to ensure each piece is entirely handmade, through several stages, which makes it a quasi-unique creation.
